i think its weird how right martin amis was, when he said that an individual's first novel is always full of self-absorption and fantasy. i never really read into that but wyafer made a good point about it. i think martin amis is a bit too blunt for my taste, but what's life without the whole frank bit? we can web about under some thin surface of politeness and never get things done. or things said. and he also said artists suffer for their craft, which doesnt pertain to me as much sense. i think we all suffer, just in different senses, sometimes we whine our little asses off or we just sit back and act like we're kanye west's jockeys.
i do prefer the second option; just that i find it hard to keep the whines locked.
i tried sieving through the 'running with scissors' film. i didnt find it :( DOOM. but its okay, i've got other good movies to sieve through. annette bening is the shizzlefizzle, just in this time and age, she's very hard to appreciate - but really she, along with morgan freeman, they do have some class. scrap that. alot of class. it's not like im some aspiring premadonna here, just that its nice to know that once in a while, not all the people on the bigscreen are running around with wigs and bras.
okay on a much less random note - the crop scripts for the golden tip competition is coming along . its so annoyingly tiring to sit down at one place and try to beat off the self-concious thing with a stick . so i'm writing it allll down . and heck, people know they dont even want to read what i have to write. but im stuffing it down anyway.
:D thats a rawr thing, if you know what i mean.
